The preferred pointe shoe of
Northeastern ballet theatre

Longer lasting composite material makes this the shoe of choice for strong dancers.

Let's talk pointe shoes

Pointe shoes are the tool ballerinas use to create exquisite art through movement. This tool comes at a price. Did you know that most pointe shoes are still made of cardboard and glue? Add the sweat of hardworking feet, and these shoes break down rapidly. Sometimes just one evening of performing and a new pair is needed! Composite shoes have greater longevity, lasting months instead of days, but at a greater cost. One pair of shoes costs $153.99, plus ribbon, elastic and toe protectors and you are at $200! Compare this to the classic cardboard and glue shoes, which averages almost $100 per pair but you need many many more shoes. Not all dancers wear Gaynors, so for them, the cost becomes extraordinary… but you can help!

Here's how you can help!
